Can You Get Anti Fog Lenses For Glasses?

The arm length is an important part of the size of the glasses.

Spectacle frames are standard optical products. Just like people's clothes and shoes, they all have their own size. Usually, specs for the size of the glasses are on the inside of the temple, on the bridge of the nose, or on the label. In general, the frames of the glasses are marked with the width of the frames, the width of the bridge of the nose, and the length of the arm. For example, the inner side of the temple is labeled: 52口 18-135, indicating the lens width of 52mm, the width of the nose bridge of 18mm, and the arm length is 135mm.

Advantages Of Acetate Frames

  • Firmness and good gloss. The style is beautiful. It is not easy to be deformed and discolored, and it is durable.
  • It is not easy to be corroded by the sweat of the skin and other irritants, and it will not be discolored by ultraviolet radiation.
  • Diverse styles, various colors, suitable for many types of people, and easy to match clothes.

The birth of progressive lenses

In 1907, British optometrist Owen Aves first proposed the concept of progressive lenses and got the first patent of progressive lenses. In 1910, Henry Orford Gowlland designed and made a similar lens in Canada, but technical limitations prevented it from succeeding. In 1959, Bernard Maitenaz, a French optical and mechanical engineer, developed the first progressive lens, which was successfully put into the commercial market for the first time and became a milestone in the history of world optometry. With the development of science and technology, the design of progressive lenses has been greatly developed.

Study On the Night Driving Glasses

Researchers at Harvard's Schepens Eye Research Institute recently conducted a study to find out if wearing night driving glasses while driving at night is good for vision. All 22 participants drove under four conditions that simulated night driving, wearing either yellow night driving glasses or glasses with clear lenses. Each participant drove with or without the headlight glare simulator activated to simulate the effect of oncoming traffic. The study found that wearing glasses while driving at night didn't seem to improve: how well the participants were able to recognize pedestrians at night and negative effects of headlight glare on pedestrian detection. Our data suggest that wearing yellow lenses while driving at night does not improve performance at the most critical task: pedestrian detection, the study's authors said. A small 2019 study showed that night driving glasses can actually slow down visual reflection by a fraction of a second, making night vision worse.

Why do spectacle lenses fog up?

The fog on the surface of the lens is essentially related to the saturation pressure and water vapor liquefaction. The air is full of water molecules, which are constantly doing irregular movements. When there is no temperature difference, water molecules keep hitting the surface of the lens and will keep bouncing off. The lower the temperature, the slower the speed of movement. Therefore, when water molecules hit the cold lens from the hot air, on the one hand, they move too slowly to fly out in time. On the other hand, because of the relatively low temperature of the lens itself and its vicinity, the water vapor will liquefy. As a result, more and more water will accumulate on the lens and form small droplets, eventually forming a foggy layer. As the lens heats up, the mist evaporates back into the air, and the fog disappears.

Lunor - Glasses For Men

Many of Lunor's metal frames are made from high-quality titanium, gold, and stainless steel. In addition to the special process of making titanium, all-metal frames are made by hand in a factory in Germany, fully reflecting the craftsmanship and thought behind the production of the brand. The texture and professional demeanor of the glasses are strong. The brand is very good at combining classical and modern. What we can see is that the nose pad and the frames are made of pure titanium, so there's no allergic effect.
